A major update has been completed on the back-end that brings you the scanner feeds! Most of you don’t likely much care what all is involved… “just make it work!” and as much as I can, I TRY… I work full time and am not always just sitting at my desk. This kind of “work” can’t be done on a phone, so it stacks up.
With this update I have accomplished the following:
- Consolidated all hosting to a single server
- Canceled ALL subscriptions for services I couldn’t previously provide myself
- Reduced latency (time from live radio call until you hear it) to 15 seconds
- Installed a new player that allows you to “rewind” if you missed something
- Cut expenses for bringing the feeds live by $100 per month
Next update will be bringing several additional feeds on-line. CHP, Gridley PD?, Lifeflight? Chico Airport ATC? Only time will tell 🙂
